LifeLine Vaal Triangle

Angels amongst us

I have suffered from bi-polar depression for most of my life. I experienced the world as a cold hard place with no place to go. This illness takes you on a journey to hell and back. When I moved to the Vaal Triangle I experienced this period in my life as particularly challenging. Depression overwhelmed me due to that fact that I was unemployed (I am a highly qualified professional) and in a financial predicament due to the new surroundings.

My mood became darker and darker. Suicidal thoughts became part of my daily existence. I knew that i needed help. But where do you start if you do not know anybody and you are all alone in the community.

This is how I got to know the angels of LifeLine. They assured me that they will always be there for me in my journey to heal myself.  By teaching me life skills or just to be there in a dark hour.

People that I never met in my life instantaneously became the hands that carried me through rough patches and taught me that there is still kindness and compassion left in the human race.

They taught me that there is always hope. Take one day at a time, be grateful for small mercies and not to take anything for granted. 90% of all worries never come true!

Above all is the help that LifeLine gave me, which was 100% to do with the love of one human being for another and they are there 24/7 for anybody that is in need.

LifeLine assists the community in every aspect of life – abuse, sexuality, HIV/AIDS and much much more.

I would seriously recommend anybody that is experiencing a bad patch in their lives to make an appointment at LifeLine. The consultations are free and LifeLine is in a position to refer you to specialists in their field if you require more specialised assistance.

Thank you once again for being there for me, LifeLine, and for the volunteers that give so generously of their precious time to serve the community.
